Augustus Koch, drawn; Chicago Lithographing Co.

Bird's-eye illustration / lithograph

What this plate shows

Salt Lake City drawn in 1870, still Utah Territory: the temple block, wide streets, irrigation, the Wasatch behind. A Koch lithograph from an imagined height. Not a photograph of the temple, and not a survey with a scale.

Image type: Bird's-eye illustration / lithograph
Source: Library of Congress Geography and Map Division, panoramic maps, item 75696611. Direct scale of that raster. Not a redraw.
