Mind, living cosmos, sympathy
Divine Mind, a cosmos often alive, a human who can know it, ascent through spheres, correspondence of above and below.
Not Gnosticism by default — the cosmos is often divine here, not a prison. Not astrology as a complete religion. Later ceremonial Hermeticism is another layer.
Mind and a cosmos often alive. The human can know and ascend. Above corresponds to below. The Asclepius’s Egyptian crisis is one text.
- 01
Divine Mind
Source in the classical dialogues. Treatises still differ.
- 02
Living hierarchical cosmos
Spheres, not a world-tree.
- 03
Powers and daimones
Later ceremonial systems multiply spirits beyond the ancient books.
- 04
Human participant in Mind
Mortal and able to know.
- 05
Ascent or regeneration
Not saṃsāra, and not in every treatise.
- Time
- Cosmic cycles, plus one text’s lament and restoration. Not a universal apocalypse.
- Agents
- God, Mind, cosmic powers. Hermes is the revealer-figure.
- Human slot
- A knower. Becoming divine, where claimed, is by knowledge, not by a church’s sacrament list.
- Break
- Ignorance and bodily passion in some texts. The cosmos is not routinely the enemy.
